What is this site all about
James Norbury in his introduction of his book Counted Thread Embroidery noted that embroidery began with the passing of time from cavemen, who were hunters and gathers, who later learnt to become spinners and weavers of yarn. Soon learning to decorate the cloth with bright embroideries into which thye told stories about the magic that formed the basis of their beliefs.
Who am I?
My name is Clarinda. I plan to use this page to showcase some of the embroidery pieces I have creater over the years. As a member of the New South Wales Embroiderers Guild I have completed a number of their courses. The last one being an Advanced Embroidery Techniques Course completed in 2015.
My day is not complete without having taken the time to embroider, even just a one inch square. Life has many stressful moments that seem to make everything so difficult, my embroidery keeps me sane.
